Journal Entry: Term 2 Week 4
Hello. I forgot to blog for week 4 so here's the recount of what i can still remember. Here goes......
K. This week, we did our IA. It was a short week because of good friday so the week only had four days. this week also co-incidentally was actually time for revision as well. So we started doing the bio questions. Interesting how much you find you don't know in biology. haha. Anyway, lets take things systematically. Practical first.
For prac this week, we did our IA. I thought it would be a simple prac where we just test all the liquids and get a result. However, not so easy. Apparently, the liquids had been tampered with as in they had been purposely made cloudy and things like that to tamper with the results of tests such as the ethanol emulsion test. Also, the biuret's test proved useless as well as everything that we tested returned negative. So we were down to the iodine and the benedict's test which proved somewhat useful but without the other two tests, identifying the source would not be as reliable as i would like it. So i tried anyway. Hopefully i get a good mark. Its not called IA for nothing.
For theory this week, as i mentioned earlier, we did revison questions. But i always find some questions which are wierd. " what is a cell?" ???!?!?!!!?!?!? what kind of question is that?! Not attacking anyone but if the answer was a sack containing organelles, what kind of question is that?! I always will find this kind of wierd question. So strange. But otherwise the rerst was fine. Just needed a little recap and i'm back on track. As mentioned earlier, short week so we only had like 1 or 2 lessons where we did reeview questions. haha
That's about all we did for this week. Next week i'm going hong kong so no post next week. will recount in week 6 entry.
