First Real Post : Term 1 Holidays (18/3/2006)
The first real post on this blog. But its still not yet term 2 yet so no bio lessons. But the biology worksheet given for holiday homework did prove a challenge though. Had some difficulty with some of the questions but I did some research and got some fo the answers.
Over the holidays been trying to read up a bit so I'm not lost in class. I'm going for the HK student science conference in April so I've been reading the material for the trip. The ecology bit in the biology concepts and connections is pretty interesting. I've read the intro chapter, more like recapping the geography syllabus of the last two years. I've yet to read chapter 38, then i'd like to read chapter 35 on animal behavior. I've always found behavioural patterns particularly interesting. It allows you to make connections and sometimes even the behaviour itself may be a little bizzare.
I completed Bio Prac 7 and 8 this week. Not much for the pracs, especially since we had 3 weeks or so to complete them. They were interesting practicals, though practical 8 must have been the most fun so far. At least we got some results for plotting the graph. I got a pretty reseaonable graph through.
Well, that's basically what i did for this week regarding biology. Hopefully this 2nd term will bring better grades. It's likely to get tougher as the year unfolds so i'm anticipating the stuff to come for biology. Let's hope i don't burn out in the process. Haha.
